This is the overview for all available hacking sessions. Please have a look at the hacking template to learn how to add your session.

Possible locations for this are the seminar room or parts of he mainhall like upper-deck.

Intended audience: Any developer interested on plugin development, with at least basic knowledge of C or C++
Description: This hacking event will be for creating and porting audio plugins. It will be mostly focused on DPF but the contents are applicable to other frameworks.

Topics:

  • Create the skeleton for your project (git repo, LICENSE, Makefile, etc)
  • Make a simple, UI-less plugin
  • Create a simple custom UI
  • Deploy builds for Linux, Mac OS and Windows
  • Test run the plugin in several DAWs and as JACK standalone
  • Bonus: Create the plugin DSP using Max

Publishing your LV2 plugins to the MOD Cloud

Description: This hacking event (60 mins) will be for publishing your existing LV2 audio/midi plugins to the MOD Cloud system.

Topics:

  • Verification (ttl validation and basic error checking)
  • Cross-compile
  • Create your own GUI
  • Publish
  • Test it live on a MOD Duo!
